We are starting to see moderate numbers of salmon spawning on the gravel but the deeper holes continue to fish really well for those using deep diving thundersticks or float fishing with skein. With the cooler weather and the rain we’ve gotten over the past few days, fresh salmon should continue to push up the river and we should start seeing good numbers of steelhead in the river.

For those targeting trout, BWO’s and tan caddis continue to hatch and provide some quality dry fly fishing. Swinging soft hackle wet flies and stripping streamers are also productive.

Smallmouth bass fishing is still good too- try smaller white or light colored baitfish patterns to imitate the minnows they are currently feeding on.
